Jan Kees Jacobse was de grondlegger van het Internationaal C1 toernooi in 1985. Het begon in de zomer van 1984 toen enkele jeugdcommissieleden wat zaten te mijmeren over de toekomst van OSM'75. De jaarlijkse toernooimaand was net achter de rug en ze wilden eens wat anders en unieks doen voor Midden-Nederland. Jan Kees Jacobse had de nodige toernooien in Nederland bezocht en daarbij gemerkt dat er voor C1-junioren wieing aansprekende toernooien waren. Hij durfde de uitdaging om een Internationaal toernooi voor C1-junioren bij OSM'75 te organiseren. Chris Bergwerf zou hem daarbij assisteren.

Jan Kees Jacobse had de volgende filosofie: probeer een topclub naar OSM'75 te halen dat maakt het voor aansprekende verenigingen ook interessant om aan het toernooi deel te nemen. Na veel overleg bleek Ajax bereid om aan het toernooi deel te nemen. Ook Feyenoord volgde en zo kon in 1985 het eerste toernooi van start gaan met als buitenlandse deelnemers Bayer Uerdingen, Olympia Bocholt, Beerschoten Turnhout. Ons eigen OSM'75 en Rhoda Raalte maakten het achttal compleet. De organisatie van het toernooi was zo perfect, dat Ajax en Feyenoord weer terug wilde komen.

In 1990 groeide het ééndaagse toernooi uit naar een tweedaags toernooi. OSM'75 wilde verder over de grenzen en slaagde erin het Deens Aarhus en het Zweedse Mälmo FF te contracteren. Voetbaltechnisch gezien werd het één van de mooiste toernooien omdat naast de Scandinavische verenigingen ook Sparta, Feyenoord en Ajax in dat jaar over een fantastische jeugdselectie beschikten.

In 2007 is er ook voor het eerst een sociaal project gekoppeld aan het toernooi, dit onder vurige aanvoering van Marcel van Klaveren. Het project van Hangjongeren naar Sportjongeren is in samenwerking met OSM'75, Stichting Klein Galgenwaard (onder begeleiding van profvoetballer Jean Paul de Jong), Stade Jongerenopbouwerk en de Gemeente Maarssen opgezet. De doelstelling van dit project is om jongeren in contact te brengen met sporten en dan met name voetbal. Dit project wordt tevens begeleid door Robin Pronk die deel uitmaakt van de jeugdopleiding van Ajax en door Berto Wansing docent aan politieschool. Beide heren geven respectievelijk een stuk educatieve begeleiding en voorlichting over de gevaren van drugsgebruik. Het project is in 2008 bekroond met "Het Appeltje van Oranje", een jaarlijkse prijs van het Oranje Fonds, voor bijzondere, innovatieve en succesvolle projecten op sociaal gebied.

Inmiddels kunnen wij ons OSM '75 niet meer voorstellen zonder ons prestigieuze C1-toernooi.

Jan Kees Jacobse was the founder of our international U14 tournament in 1985. It began in the summer of 1984 when a number of members of the youth committee where discussing the future of OSM '75. The annual tourmanent month had just ended and they wanted something different in the middle of Holland. Jan Kees Jacobse had visited several tournaments in Holland en concluded that there were no appealing tournaments for boys under the age of 14. He accepted the challenge of organising an international tournament U14 at OSM '75. Chris Bergwerf offered to assist him.

Jan Kees Jacobse had the following philosophy: try to get a topclub to participate. That should interest other appealing clubs to join the us as well. After long negotiations  Ajax was prepared to participate. Feyenoord followed. In 1985 the first tournament started with foreign participants Bayer Uerdingen, Olympia Bocholt, Beerschoten Turnhout. Rhoda Raalte and off course OSM '75 completed the field of eight participants. The organization of the tournament was so perfect that Ajax and Feyenoord immediately accepted the invitation for the next edition.

In 1990 the tournament grew to a two-day tournament. OSM had the ambition to get teams from farther away and succeeded in "contracting" the Danish Aarhus en Swedish Malmö FF. Technically this would be one of the finest tournaments so far, because next to the Scandinavian clubs also Sparta, Feyenoord en Ajax had excellent teams that year.

In 2007 for the first time OSM associated the tournament with a big social project, with Marcel van Klaveren as inspiring manager. OSM works together with "Klein Galgenwaard" (lead by Jean Paul de Jong, former player of FC Utrecht), "Stade Jongerenopbouwwerk" (organisation for youth in Maarssen) en de city of Maarssen. The project aims to inspire youth wich normally only hangout on the streets, to get more active with regards to sports, football in particular. Other associates of the project are Robin Pronk (youth education of Ajax) and Berto Wansing (teacher at the police school). Together they learn yhe youth about the danger of using drugs. The project won the impressive price "Appeltje van Oranje" from the "Oranjefonds". This is a organisation which nationally rewards special, innovative en succesfull projects on social areas.

For now it's not possible to imagine OSM '75 without this prestigious tournament.
