We are happy to announce that FC Volendam will compete in our 35th OSM '75 International U15 Football Tournament. It's their first time to visit Sportpark Fazantenkamp. Volendam U15 is competing in the same division as SC Heerenveen and Helmond Sport, who are both also trying to win the 35th edition of our tournament in June.
The first team of the 'Palingboeren' (nickname which translates into 'eel farmers') have achieved nine promotions to the Eredivisie; a record. Currently the team is very close to their 10th promotion to the Eredivisie.Volendam also reached two KNVB Cup finals – in 1957–'58 and 1994–'95 – which ended in losses to two Rotterdam-based clubs, Sparta and Feyenoord, respectively.Ger Mühren, Arnold Mühren, Keje Molenaar, Mark de Vries, Wim Jonk, Jack Tuyp, Mitchel Dijks, Joey Veerman and Denso Kasius are some former players of 'the other Oranje'. We are happy having the team from the famous fishing village competing in our tournament.
